Scope and Contents
Collection contains books, photographs, art work, and artifacts focusing primarily on the first fifty years of the university. The bulk of the collection is artifacts, mostly felt pennants. Books are either related to courses or donated by early students or faculty. Many of the artifacts come from the chemistry laboratory and the first permanent building, Old Central.

Gilliland's authored & co-authored articles, course materials, class notes, student files, research protocols, examinations, evaluations, hard bound copies of students' Master’s and PhDs, framed photographs and hard bound books (several signed with personal notes to Dr. Gilliland).

Collection contains material from Dr. Agnew's childhood school and art projects, his teaching career at Oklahoma State University, and his retirement. Personal correspondence among the Agnew family, relatives, and friends is extensive. Agnew’s papers document his involvement in his Naval career, research, teaching, professional organizations, student organizations, and community. The papers received only minimal processing so only major subjects for each box is listed.
